他のEコマースプラットフォームと同様、Phenixの大きな課題の一つは、アプリ上の在庫情報を常に最新に保つことです。これには高度なデータベース機能が必要で、主にAWS Relational Database Service (RDS) を利用しています。アプリを構築し、現在の需要に合わせて拡張していくなかで、AWSの割引制度を活用することはPhenixの少人数のDevOpsチームにとって大きな負担となっていました。
