Meet Trigo

Trigo was founded in 2018 by brothers Michael and Daniel Gabay to transform grocery shopping through AI-powered smart stores. The company supplies retailers with technological infrastructure that enables seamless shopping experiences where customers can shop and leave without traditional checkouts. Using proprietary algorithms and ceiling-mounted cameras, Trigo's EasyOut™ solution tracks customer journeys and automatically bills purchases through 3D modeling and AI computing.

The Challenge

Trigo needed to create a frictionless shopping experience that could accurately track customer behavior in real-time. The challenge involved processing data from hundreds of cameras simultaneously while accounting for unpredictable shopper behavior like putting items back or swapping products. As a startup expanding globally, Trigo required scalable, cost-effective infrastructure that could handle rapid data growth and support stores across multiple regions.

The Solution

Trigo partnered with DoiT International to implement Google Cloud solutions. The company uses Google Kubernetes Engine for autoscaling microservices, Cloud Bigtable for constantly growing databases, Pub/Sub for managing fluctuating data streams, and BigQuery as the main data warehouse. This infrastructure enables 3D modeling of store ecosystems and real-time processing of shopping data from multiple global locations.
