How do I connect Linode?
Create a personal access token in Linode Cloud Manager, then enter an account identifier of your choice and the token in the integrations catalog. Test the connection and save.
What permissions does the token need?
Set all scopes to Read Only, except VPCs, which should be No Access. Set expiry to Never so data collection is not interrupted.
How much history do you import, and how fresh is it?
We import your historical invoice data on connect, which can take a few hours, and email you when it's ready. After that we refresh daily, and data typically becomes available within 48 hours.
Which dimensions and labels can I use?
Charges map to Provider, Billing Account (your account identifier), Service (resource type) and SKU (resource label). Linode labels add resource type, individual resource and region.
How do I assign Linode costs to teams?
Build allocation rules on the resource, service or region dimensions, including regex conditions on resource names. They work like virtual tags for teams and products.
How does Linode show up next to my other providers?
Linode appears as its own provider in Cloud Analytics, so you can report on it, budget it and alert on it alongside your other clouds.
