Microsoft Teams

Cost signals in the channel that owns them.

Cost anomalies land in the Microsoft Teams channel that owns them, with the excess cost, service and account. New invoices and a daily insights digest can go there too, routed by severity and allocation.

Frequently asked
questions

Who can connect Microsoft Teams?

A user with the Manage settings permission. They open the app from the Microsoft Teams card in the integrations catalog, add it to a team and approve the connection in the console. Repeat for each team.

Can I add more channels to a connected team?

Yes. On the Microsoft Teams card, select Manage, then Connect channel, and paste the channel link you copied in Teams.

Are private or shared channels supported?

No. Only standard channels can be connected. Private and shared channels are rejected with an error message.

Which notifications can go to Teams?

Cost anomalies, new invoices and the daily new insights digest, among others. Some notification types support only specific channels, and the console tells you when Teams isn't available for one.

How do I keep anomaly volume manageable?

Set a minimum severity and a minimum excess cost, and include or exclude specific allocations. You can also resend on an interval, or when an active anomaly's cost keeps rising.

Can people route their own notifications to Teams?

Yes. In personal notifications, add Teams channels as a default delivery channel, or override delivery for a single notification group with Send via.
