Frequently asked
questions

How do I connect Infobip to Cloud Intelligence™?

Create an API key in the Infobip Portal under Developer Tools > API Keys, with the billing:usage:view scope and account balance read access. Then open Data ingestion and integrations > Integrations, find Infobip, enter an account name, your dedicated API domain (xxxxx.api.infobip.com) and the key, and test the connection before saving. You need the Billing Profiles Admin permission.

Why does the API key need two scopes?

Daily ingestion reads billing usage, which needs billing:usage:view. The connection test reads your account balance, which needs the Account Management balance scope. Infobip keeps the two separate, so a key with only one of them fails either the test or the daily import.

How fresh is Infobip data?

We refresh your Infobip usage daily. Infobip treats the current month as provisional until it finalizes the month on the 5th of the following month, so we import unfinalized data for near real-time visibility and update earlier days as late traffic, discounts and pricing adjustments are finalized. On first connect we import the last 60 days.

Which Infobip channels are imported?

Everything in Infobip's Billing Usage API: SMS and MMS (including US carrier fees), WhatsApp, RCS, Apple Messages for Business, Viber, Email and Mobile Push; voice and video; Number Lookup, Carrier Lookup and Email Validation; and AI and AgentOS.

Why can totals differ from my Infobip invoice?

We import metered usage charges. Fixed platform fees, Conversations and Answers subscriptions, included allowances on fixed MAU plans, and taxes appear on your invoice but are not in Infobip's billing API, so Cloud Analytics shows your usage spend rather than the invoice total.

Which dimensions and labels are imported?

Charges map to Provider, Billing account, Project/Account ID (the Infobip account key), Service (the channel), SKU (channel and destination country, for example SMS_US) and Location (the destination country). Labels include account name, account key, channel, category code, country and country code.

Can I connect several Infobip accounts?

Connect once per Infobip company. The billing API returns usage for every account and sub-account under that company, so connecting several of them would count the same costs more than once. Each account still shows up as its own account key and account name.

Connect Infobip. Know what every message costs.
