How do I connect xAI?
Search for xAI in the integrations catalog, select Connect, and enter your Team ID and Management API key. Test the connection, then save.
Which key do I need?
A management key with Billing set to Read only and every other endpoint at No access. Inference API keys you use to call Grok models are rejected, because xAI serves billing data only through its Management API.
Should I restrict the key to an IP address?
No. Leave the Allowed IP Address list empty, because we ingest from a pool of egress addresses and a single-IP restriction causes intermittent connection failures.
How much history do you import, and how often?
We import up to 180 days of history on connect and refresh every six hours at daily granularity. You get an email when the data is ready in Cloud Analytics.
Which dimensions and labels are available?
Charges map to Provider, Billing Account (team ID), Service (Grok API) and SKU (product-prefixed model, such as API grok-4.3). Labels add model, usage type, cached, region and API key.
