What key does the OpenAI connection need?
An OpenAI admin key with Restricted permissions and Usage API read access, plus optional Management API read. You also need the Billing Profiles Admin permission in Cloud Intelligence.
Can I connect ChatGPT Enterprise and Codex?
Yes. ChatGPT Enterprise Costs, ChatGPT Enterprise Workspace Analytics and Codex Enterprise Analytics are separate cards, each using an Admin key from the OpenAI Admin Console with its own read permission and an organization or workspace ID.
How much history is imported, and how fresh is it?
The OpenAI connection imports the last 6 months of billing and usage data. ChatGPT Enterprise imports up to 90 days, refreshes every 6 hours, and a day's data typically lands within 24 to 30 hours.
Which dimensions and labels can I use?
Data maps to Provider, Billing Account, Project/Account ID, Service and SKU. GenAI labels add model, model version, API key, cached tokens, usage type, media format and user.
Why might cost and usage not line up?
OpenAI cost data reflects final charges, while usage data is for monitoring activity. Audio input costs combine cached and uncached tokens, and ChatGPT Workspace Analytics carries adoption data with zero cost.
How does OpenAI show next to my other providers?
