How does Cloud Intelligence™ connect to OCI?
With a dedicated IAM user in a group that has billing read policies, plus an API key. We generate the key pair and you upload the public key to that user. A CLI script or manual steps set it up.
How fresh is the data?
OCI generates cost reports every six hours, and we fetch new data every eight hours. Costs typically appear within 24 to 32 hours.
What OCI data do I get?
Cost and usage from your FOCUS cost reports, by tenancy, compartment, service, SKU, region and resource. OCI resource tags appear under Labels & Tags in reports.
Can I allocate OCI costs without tags?
Yes. The runtime sensor reads traffic to assign shared clusters, databases and network to the team, customer or feature that used them. Your resource tags are still ingested.
Which features work with OCI?
Reports, forecasting, budgets, alerts, allocations, anomaly detection, our insights, OCI Intelligence and CloudFlow all work with OCI. Cloud Diagrams, commitment management and Kubernetes Intelligence are not available for OCI.
Do I need to buy OCI through you?
No. We connect the OCI tenancies you already have. Connecting needs an Enhanced or Enterprise plan.
