How do I connect PlanetScale?
Find PlanetScale in the integrations catalog, enter your organization name and select Authorize. You approve access in PlanetScale, return to Cloud Intelligence and save.
What permissions does the connection request?
Three read-only OAuth scopes: read_invoices, read_databases and read_organization. You need the Organization Admin role in PlanetScale and the Billing Profiles Admin permission with us.
How fresh is the data, and how much history do I get?
We refresh PlanetScale data daily, and it is typically available within 48 hours. Historical invoice data is imported on first connection, which can take a few hours.
Which dimensions and labels are available?
Charges map to Provider, Billing Account (organization), Project/Account ID and Resource (database ID), Service (metric) and SKU (line item). Labels add database name, metric and description.
Can I see cost per database?
Yes. Each charge carries the database ID and database name, so you can group or filter spend by database and allocate it to the teams that own them.
How does PlanetScale show up next to my other providers?
PlanetScale appears as its own provider in Cloud Analytics, so you can report on it alongside your cloud and other connected spend, and use it in budgets and allocations.
