Who can install the DoiT app for Slack?
A Slack workspace admin. They connect the workspace from the Slack card in the integrations catalog, under Work management.
What permissions does the app ask for?
Basic information about public channels, to suggest channels for notifications; basic information about group messages and private channels, to know who can't see a shared chart; and people and their email addresses, to check permissions before unfurling a link.
Which notifications can go to Slack?
Cost anomalies, budget thresholds, alerts, cloud incidents, quota and credit utilization, new SKU usage and invoices. Set Slack as a default delivery channel, or override it per notification group.
Can notifications go to private channels?
Yes. Invite the app to the channel first by running /invite @DoiTInternational, then select the channel.
Do shared links show cost data to everyone?
No. Report and budget links unfurl only for people who have permission to see them in Cloud Intelligence™.
How do I chat with the AI assistant in Slack?
Open the DoiT app in Slack, or mention @DoiT in a channel where the app is available. It answers questions about cloud spend, anomalies and the console. The AI assistant must be included in your plan.
