DoiT has acquired SELECT, a data platform optimization company focused on Snowflake cost and performance. The acquisition extends FinOps automation beyond infrastructure into the data layer.
What changes
SELECT's technology joins the DoiT Cloud Intelligence platform as PerfectScale for Snowflake. The product delivers visibility into Snowflake usage and applies policy-driven automation to reduce waste without degrading performance or data quality.
SELECT detects inefficiencies including:
- Misconfigured compute resources
- Inefficient queries
- Misaligned resource usage
Unlike reporting tools, the platform enforces optimization policies continuously in real time.
For existing SELECT customers
Nothing changes. Contracts, pricing, support, and product functionality remain the same. The SELECT team will continue building and operating the platform, with broader DoiT integrations available over time.
Strategic context
This is the fourth acquisition under DoiT's $250 million AI investment strategy, following LiveDiagrams, PerfectScale, and CloudWize. Together, these products cover cost, performance, and governance across the cloud stack.
PerfectScale for Snowflake will integrate with budgets, cost allocation, anomaly detection, and automated workflows in the DoiT Cloud Intelligence platform. AI-assisted recommendations analyze cloud and data telemetry together to execute safe optimization actions.
What's next
The SELECT team joins DoiT and will lead development of PerfectScale for Snowflake. The roadmap includes support for additional data platforms, including Databricks.
