New in GenAI Intelligence: deeper Snowflake and Databricks attribution

See who spends what on which AI product: from Snowflake queries to Databricks workloads.

By Marcin Orlinski

AI spend is easy to total. The hard part is explaining which model, endpoint, agent, or person drove it.

GenAI Intelligence in Cloud Intelligence™ now goes deeper into Snowflake and Databricks data. Provider-specific details stay within a consistent reporting model.

  • See Snowflake AI spend in context: Cortex and other Snowflake AI services are automatically classified as GenAI spend, so they appear alongside your other AI providers.

  • Trace Snowflake Cortex costs: Break down Cortex AI Functions by model, function, usage type, user, warehouse, and query tag. Analyze Cortex Agent costs by agent and user.

  • Add Databricks token attribution: Compare input and output token counts by model-serving endpoint and requester alongside your cost data.

  • Keep Databricks reporting clean: Genie, Vector Search, and Agent Evaluation are classified as GenAI product spend.

Optional grants enable deeper attribution for Snowflake and Databricks. Existing connections keep loading cost data without them. To add a grant, go to the Integrations page and select your connection. The console shows the exact SQL to run.
