Senior Cloud Architect I

The Workshop Architect. I build things you can hold, and things you can't.

He/Him

Senior Cloud Architect at DoiT. I work on the parts of cloud infrastructure most people don't want to look at: Kubernetes networking, storage, and the long, weird performance tail. Twelve certifications across AWS, GCP, CNCF, and HashiCorp — including Google Cloud Authorized Trainer, three external courses delivered. 5.0/5 across 17 customer reviews. The reviews call me "fast" and "no BS," which is also how I'd describe a good torque wrench.

Off the clock I run a workshop. 3D printers (100+ prints in the last year), woodworking benches, the usual hand-tool collection that grows on its own. The thing I keep noticing: a cluster networking problem and a dovetail joint have more in common than they should. Tolerances matter. The thing that works on the bench fails under load. The fastest path to a clean result is to set up the jig right the first time. I think the engineers who solve abstract systems best usually have something concrete they fight with on weekends.

Earlier this month I shipped MeshFlask - Adobe Bridge for 3D model files. A desktop app for people whose collection of STLs is a dumpster fire. Tag, rate, preview, smart-collect, watertight-check, print-bed-fit-check, launch into your slicer with the right profile. Three Electron processes, NAS-portable SQLite libraries, shipped May 22 for Mac/Windows/Linux. The 3D printing community didn't have one - now they do.

If your cluster is slower than it should be, your storage is doing something it shouldn't, or your network engineer has gone quiet — that's where I'm useful. Book a call.

Like Adobe Bridge but for 3D printing

MeshFlask

A desktop app for people whose collection of STL, OBJ, and 3MF files is *a dumpster fire.*

Point it at a folder, get back an organized library. Each folder becomes a "library" with its own database, so a NAS full of models on one machine reconnects cleanly on another. Built for 3D printing first, but it handles glb, gltf, obj, stl, ply, and 3mf.

**What's in it:**

- An interactive 3D viewer with five lighting presets — including a "Normals" mode that shows you exactly where a model is going to print badly - Tag, rate (1–5 stars), and color-label every file. Hierarchical tags, so `characters/heroes/aragorn` shows up under all three - Smart collections — saved filter queries that update themselves - A virtualized thumbnail grid that scales to libraries with thousands of files without dragging - Print-bed-fit check: register your printer's bed in preferences and oversized models get a red **OVERSIZE** badge - Watertight check on every render — non-manifold meshes get a yellow **LEAKY** badge so you catch problems before slicing - One-click launch into your slicer with a specific profile, from the right-click menu - 2-up compare with synced cameras, batch rename, ZIP and PDF contact-sheet export

Shipped v0.1.0 on May 22, 2026. macOS, Windows, Linux. GPL-3.0. Built because the 3D printing community didn't have one — Adobe has Bridge, photographers have Lightroom, we had a folder full of files named `final_final_v2.stl`.
