We value the in-depth investigation, however I the pace of investigation was not as fast as I would expect for something that is causing us recurring production incidents; In the meantime, we conducted our own investigation and based on telemetry data available to us and additional tests in lower environments, we were able to arrive at similar conclusions by the end of last week already. That said, quality of support is good, but DoIt / GCP support would be more valuable to us if the feedback loop was faster - then it could have sped up our investigation.

The google meet call format was great to get this resolved. Houssem really focussed on seeing it through end-to-end and trying everything. He was honest and helpful.
Ultimately we found a workaround to our cloud sql instance being stuck and not allowing any configuration changes, something that usually requires proper paid (at least $1k for us) google support.
The fix was to switch the instance to be single-zone, do the config change and then switch it back to high availability.

I wanted to give a huge shoutout to Houssem. Having worked on several tickets with Doit over the years, I found this latest experience to be on another level entirely. While our past interactions have been good, Houssem’s work etiquette and genuine care for the customer really stood out.
