SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 10, 2026 -- DoiT, a provider of enterprise-grade FinOps and CloudOps solutions, today announced that Channel Management, part of DoiT PartnerOps, now supports AWS's MSP Program Validation Checklist 8.0 (VCL 8.0), the AI-first version of the audit every AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) partner must pass. Partners can run their full certification program inside the module and draw on DoiT's broader product suite for the AI cost and usage evidence the new controls demand.

DoiT PartnerOps is the platform built for cloud ecosystem partners, including resellers, MSPs, ISVs, systems integrators and distributors. Those partners work on thin margins while cloud provider requirements keep moving. PartnerOps gives them an operating system and growth engine for that business.

Within PartnerOps, Channel Management handles the AWS program relationship: getting a partner into the MSP program, keeping them compliant between audits, and unlocking the incentives that come with the designation. The requirements behind that designation are about to change. VCL 8.0 replaces the previous checklist on January 1, 2027. Partners must now show:

  • GenAI and agentic observability, including token consumption and inference cost per agent
  • AI workload cost optimization
  • Measurable AI-driven business outcomes for each customer

Channel Management is designed for that shift. For every control, the module assigns an owner, breaks the work into concrete tasks, reviews evidence before the auditor sees it, and routes approvals so the process keeps moving. It scans partners' managed AWS environments automatically, drafts supporting documentation, and tracks compliance in the months between audits. First-time applicants get a clear view of what the audit requires and in what order. Partners renewing get a read on what the new AI controls demand and where their current evidence falls short.

Satisfying those controls depends on how a partner runs its practice day to day. The rest of DoiT's product suite does that work: the same FinOps and CloudOps solutions DoiT sells to the companies running cloud workloads, applied across a partner's own customer base.

  • Revenue Management, another key module of DoiT PartnerOps, covers the billing controls, producing the multi-tier billing accuracy, credit and pricing reconciliation, and per-customer cost reporting the checklist expects partners to evidence.
  • Attribute, the real-time AI cost attribution technology DoiT acquired in July 2026, connects token, model and GPU costs directly to individual customers, features and agents, using live runtime data instead of billing exports or manual tagging.
  • DoiT Cloud Intelligence™ supplies the broader cost, anomaly and optimization data the checklist has always required.
  • PerfectScale and SELECT extend that work into the Kubernetes and data-cloud environments partners manage for their own customers.

"AWS is asking its partners tougher questions than it used to. Managing cloud infrastructure to a professional standard was the bar for years; now the bar is demonstrating AI-driven delivery with customer-level evidence," said Ryan Pugatch, vice president of product management at DoiT. "Channel Management gets a partner through the audit and keeps them compliant between cycles. DoiT's portfolio of products is how partners satisfy the controls themselves, including the AI controls most can't answer with the tooling they have today. Done right, that work gives partners more than a clean audit. It gives them new revenue opportunities while solving real customer challenges."

The AWS MSP designation is among the most demanding in the AWS Partner ecosystem, and any partner with an audit or renewal in 2027 will be evaluated under the new AI requirements. DoiT PartnerOps supports partners on both versions of the checklist throughout the transition.
