DoiT begleitete Bringg bei der Migration auf Google Cloud und GKE – ohne Downtime, mit geringeren Infrastrukturkosten und skalierbar für Walmart und Coca-Cola.
Wichtige Kunden sahen Bringgs damaligen Cloud-Anbieter als kommerziellen Wettbewerber – ein Wechsel zu einem neutraleren Anbieter war gefragt. Gleichzeitig musste die Plattform für namhafte Kunden wie Walmart und Coca-Cola zuverlässig laufen: Downtime war keine Option.
Gemeinsam mit DoiT migrierte Bringg auf Google Cloud und baute die Infrastruktur rund um Google Kubernetes Engine auf. Cloud SQL und Cloud Load Balancing sorgten für ein automatisiertes Infrastruktur-Management – bei konsequenter CI/CD-Praxis und Code-first-Ansatz.

2016 äußerten wichtige Retail-Kunden Bedenken, weil Bringgs damaliger Cloud-Anbieter als kommerzieller Wettbewerber galt. Ein Wechsel zu einem neutraleren Anbieter konnte diese Bedenken ausräumen – und zugleich die Gelegenheit bieten, die Infrastruktur zu erneuern. Für eine Plattform, die weltbekannte Marken bedient, ist Zuverlässigkeit nicht verhandelbar: Downtime war keine Option.
Bringg baute die Infrastruktur rund um Google Kubernetes Engine auf – für Stabilität, Skalierbarkeit und Flexibilität. Managed Services erlaubten mehr Automatisierung, ohne die CI/CD-Philosophie aufzugeben. Für die Datenbank kam Cloud SQL zum Einsatz, Cloud Load Balancing sorgte für einen reibungslosen Service bei globalen Kunden. Die Plattform bot die nötige Flexibilität für maßgeschneiderte Lösungen – ohne kurzfristige Workarounds.
Nach einer früheren Zusammenarbeit rund um die Integration von Google Maps begleitete DoiT Bringg auch bei der Migration auf Google Cloud – ohne Serviceunterbrechung. Nach einem ersten Proof of Concept mit Staging-Accounts verlagerten DoiT und Bringg die Bestandskunden nahtlos auf Google Cloud. Laut Bringgs CTO fühlte sich die Migration an wie ein einziger Knopfdruck.
Mit Google Cloud verdreifachte Bringg 2018 sein Geschäft und senkte zugleich die Infrastrukturkosten. Der konsequente Fokus auf Infrastructure-as-Code und GKE-Automatisierung hielt den Management-Aufwand niedrig und gab den Engineers den Freiraum für neue Features wie Lieferungen aus dem stationären Handel oder die Anbindung externer Fuhrparks. Machine-Learning-Funktionen brachten 30 % mehr Effizienz – und das Unternehmen schloss eine Series-C-Finanzierungsrunde ab.
Mit weiterem Wachstum und steigenden Datenmengen evaluiert Bringg BigQuery für Analytics sowie Google Cloud Machine Learning Products für neue Anwendungsfälle – etwa die Vorhersage von LKW-Standzeiten. Die Partnerschaft entwickelt sich kontinuierlich weiter, im engen Austausch mit den Product Managern von Google Cloud zu künftigen Features. Bei neuen Projekten setzt Bringg zuerst auf Google-Cloud-Services – wegen ihrer Zuverlässigkeit.
