PartnerOps: Optional controls for AWS MSP certification

AWS checklists mark some controls as Recommended rather than Mandatory. The platform treated every control as mandatory, so partners could never reach 100% or submit. In the AWS MSP Validation Checklist (VCL) 7.1 this affects two controls, OPS-013 (AIOps) and OPS-018 (AI).
PartnerOps now supports Optional controls, matching the AWS designation:
- Optional badge: Controls designated Recommended by AWS display an "Optional" badge so your team can see at a glance which controls are required for certification and which are not.
- Not pursuing: Mark any Optional control as "Not pursuing" to signal auditors that you reviewed it and made a deliberate decision, keeping your submission transparent.
- Accurate readiness tracking: Readiness counters separate Optional from Mandatory controls, giving you a true picture of certification progress.
- Non-blocking submission: Only Mandatory controls block submission. Incomplete Optional controls won't hold up your certification.
- AI assessment clarity: AI-generated assessments now include a clear statement about each Optional control's certification status across every assessment surface.
