Connect once, link Threads to issues

Plug DoiT into your Jira Cloud instance

A Jira admin installs the DoiT Jira app from the Atlassian Marketplace and pairs it with your DoiT Console using a one-time installation code. Pick the projects you want FinOps Threads to land in and DoiT keeps issues in sync with the cost signals behind them. No custom plumbing, no second pane of glass for engineers.

What you get

Built for the way FinOps and engineering teams collaborate in Jira

The capabilities operators ask for when they wire DoiT Threads into the Jira projects engineers already use.

Anomalies become Jira issues

Anomalies become Jira issues

Spend spikes and savings opportunities turn into Jira issues with the cost context engineers need, so the work gets tracked alongside everything else on the board.

Threads linked to issues

Threads linked to issues

Every DoiT Thread is linked to a Jira issue so the conversation and the ticket stay in sync.

Per-project routing

Per-project routing

Send Threads to the Jira project that owns the workload, account, or service.

Create from insights or CloudFlow

Create from insights or CloudFlow

Spin up a Thread and Jira issue directly from a DoiT insight or CloudFlow run.

Audit-friendly history

Audit-friendly history

Every Thread, linked issue, and resolution is recorded so finance and audit can trace decisions from the original cost signal to the closed Jira ticket.

Admin-controlled connection

Admin-controlled connection

Only Jira and DoiT admins can connect the instance, and disconnecting cleanly removes Threads or linked issues.

A raw webhook drops a payload on a board. DoiT links FinOps Threads to Jira issues with the context the assignee needs to actually close them.

Beyond a webhook

  • Project-level routing

Send Threads, anomalies, and recommendations to the Jira projects that own the affected accounts or services.

  • Real-time issue creation

Cost spikes and savings opportunities open Jira issues in minutes, not at end-of-month review.

  • Threads tied to tickets

DoiT Threads stay linked to their Jira issues so cost context travels with the work.

  • Workflow-native triage

Assignees use the Jira workflow they already know to acknowledge, transition, and close issues.

  • Insights and CloudFlow hooks

Open a Thread and Jira issue from a DoiT insight or a CloudFlow step in a couple of clicks.

  • Forward Deployed Engineers

World-class cloud architects help you design Thread, project, and ownership rules that fit your org.

Frequently asked
questions

How do I connect Jira to DoiT?

In the DoiT Console, open Data ingestion and integrations, find the Jira card, and select Manage. Enter your Jira Cloud URL (the one ending in atlassian.net), then install the DoiT Jira app from the Atlassian Marketplace and paste the installation code from the console into Jira to register the instance.

What permissions do I need to set this up?

On the DoiT side, your account needs the Manage settings permission to connect the instance and the Thread Manager permission to create and manage Threads. On the Jira side, a Jira admin role is required to install the DoiT Jira app in your instance.

What does DoiT actually send into Jira?

DoiT links Threads to Jira issues, so anomalies, recommendations, and FinOps actions you turn into Threads show up as issues in your chosen Jira project, keeping the cost context attached to the work.

Can I create a Jira issue from an insight or CloudFlow?

Yes. You can create a Thread (and its linked Jira issue) directly from a DoiT insight or from a CloudFlow run, so cost signals flow into the right project automatically.

How do I route Threads to the right Jira project?

When you create a Thread you choose which connected Jira instance and project it should land in, so different teams and services get their issues in the projects they already own.

How do I disconnect a Jira instance?

Open Connection settings in the DoiT Console, find the Jira instance, and select Disconnect. You can choose to delete only the connected Threads, or delete the connected Threads and the associated Jira issues. The action cannot be undone.

Does the Jira integration work with Jira Server or Data Center?

The DoiT integration connects to Jira Cloud instances via the DoiT Jira app on the Atlassian Marketplace. You'll need a Jira Cloud site (atlassian.net) to install it.

Is the Jira integration available on every plan?

Workflow integrations are included with DoiT Cloud Intelligence. There is no per-seat or per-project surcharge for connecting Jira.
